Saturday is a special day

saturday is a special day...and a day where we do a lot of stuff, a lot of driving and are all exhausted by 5 pm. but it was worth it. i took the kids and we hit the children's museum on the east side, walked around the temple and after returning home, i gave into the kids' begging and we went "hiking." and by hiking i mean a less than 10 minute walk to the top of a hill by our house. we all had a good time, but i'm pretty sure no matter what we do, it won't be good enough. our day was not without it's meltdowns. but i think that's also part of being a mom, isn't it? at least i hope so. just pretend for my sake.

they had some sort of space exhibit going on. this shows the distance between some of the planets.
we had our very own astronaut themed rave
we spent a good 25 min. building this house. i got really into it.
this pretty much sums up tucker
grace took full advantage of the stage and performed..of course.
another east side stop-the temple. the kids begged to go swimming in the pool. and after i told them there's no swimming, they decided they were just for baptizing. hm..wrong again.
hiking...she may look innocent, but 3 minutes after this picture taken she might have thrown a huge fit and threw dirt everywhere.

You should win some kind of award after that Saturday. That museum looks like lots of fun. You are a great mom and your kids will appreciate it some day:)

No matter how great a day is, it seems like kids will still be kids with their meltdowns. I have had to learn to not take it personally when my kids act up. You are a great & your kids are lucky to have you!
