During my professional career as a doctor of medicine, I was occasionally asked why I chose to do that difficult work. I responded with my opinion that the highest and noblest work in this life is that of a mother. Since that option was not available to me, I thought that caring for the sick might come close. I tried to care for my patients as compassionately and competently as my Mother cared for me. Many years ago, the First Presidency issued a statement that has had a profound and lasting influence upon me. 'Motherhood,' they wrote.' is near to divinity. It is the highest, holiest service to be assumed by mankind. It places her who honors its holy calling and service next to the angels. Because mothers are essential to 'God's great plan of happiness, their sacred work is opposed by Satan, who would destroy the family and demean the work of women." Russell M. Nelson Ensign May 99'
*totally unrelated to this post-I cut 9 inches off my hair. no one believes my hair was that long, but trust me it was. it was suffocating.

You look absolutely beautiful!! Happy Mother's Day!
I agree wholeheartedly with the quotation you borrowed. You are a lovely mother and will be a lovely (is that appropriate?) nurse. That is to say, kind and nurturing and a calming influence. Love you, Bon!
Bonnie you are seriously gorgeous & you have great taste in clothes. Your kiddos are super cute. I like your hair cut. Happy Mothers Day!

How is it possible that you grow more beautiful all the time? I'm so glad you took pictures on Mother's Day. Why didn't I think to do the same? Duh. I love your new 'do and Catherine's right. You do have a great personal style. Love you!
