In May, I took my kids (and recruited my friend Scott) to Thatcher to go to the temple open house and visit my old college roomie Chantel and her family. It was so weird to be back in Thatcher. Especially since Chantel's house is a stone's throw away from our old dorm. I even dragged Scott to my old stompin grounds at the annual Spring Sing choir concert at EA. We ended up leaving early but I'm still thankful I got out of Choraleers when I did and didn't have to wear neon silk button up shirts with black sequin vests. Ha. The kids had a great time like usual and Chantel's little girl, Cambree and Grace were 2 peas in a pod. They walked through the entire temple holding hands. Grace really wanted nothing to do with me the whole time. The temple was beautiful and the video beforehand may or may not had me a little teary. Elder Holland kills me everytime. I'm grateful we could go and can't wait for Phx's temple soon (if we can ever get it done!) I think Tucker's favorite part was on the way home, when we stopped in Globe for a pit stop and ended up at the fire station to use the facilities. They must have been having a slow day cause they gave a quick tour to the boys and let my kids climb all over the firetruck, turned on the sirens/lights for them and let them honk the horn. The police officer across the street even chimed in with his sirens and lights. So, for future reference, in small towns, the firestation is the play to pee. Thanks Chantel and Curtis for letting us crash your place!
8 years ago we were in college, now we have 5 kids between us. Crazy!
I die looking at Tucker in this picture
Poor Scott had the king of awkward moments. A lady offered to take the camera from him to take a "family picture." Um....what do you say to that? I'm still laughing about it.
Waiting to go inside the temple.

I have never been there. (that I know of) and I have lived in AZ since I was 2. It's sad really. Your kids are super cute and I LOVE the shirt you are wearing in the pictures. Also a big fan of the "family picture" ha ha. That much have been uber awkward! LOL, love it!
I never thought about 8 years and 5 kids later....that's crazy to think about. We've known each other a long time now!! See there's something good about Thatcher after all :)
I can picture Grace now, leading her little friend through the halls of the temple. Ha! Poor Scott! What a good sport he is!
