i was blessed with this sweet spirit six years ago tomorrow. she brought me hope and joy when my world was troubled and confused. this video was made for her 1st birthday. happy birthday gracie girl! here are some birthday girl facts:
-she is a sensitive soul. that she got from me. she is also very dramatic. i'm not claiming that one
-she is smarty pants. i know i'm biased, but that girl is seriously smart. i don't think i can claim this one either. she can read pretty much anything and her writing is impressive. she pays attention to things i'm completely oblivious too and is 6 going on 18.
-she LOVES to perform. sing, dance, dress up, you name it. anything where she can perform for people. her favorite artist currently is of course taylor swift. she also loves to watch herself in the mirror. this includes when she has tantrums.
-she's kind to her friends and other children.
-she's obedient...to pretty much everyone except me.
-she loves to give me hugs, kisses and anything else that involves me relinquishing my personal space. i love it...except on road trips.

I can't believe Gracie is turning. Ah man, I miss that girl with her crazy fun personality! :-( I miss all the kiddos :-( Hopefully we can come visit soon so you can all see Joel is all his walking glory :-)

I've seen that video at least 50 times, and I still weep. She is so special to me. As are you. You can claim every inch of her.
When Gracie becomes a star I can't wait to tell people that I'm best friends with her mom!
