I hate New Years, I've never had a great one and since I don't drink champagne and go to lavish parties, I'm pretty limited on my celebration. Even when I was married, I never spend New Years with my husband because he was working. Pretty sad. So I've never had that fairytale New Years with the Au Lang Syne song (I can't remember the name of it, or spelling for that matter) and the kiss at midnight, tons of people, etc. etc. Not that I'm feeling sorry for myself, I just haven't ever experienced a great New Years. But nonetheless, it is a start of a new year, and I'm hoping my next New Years, I would have moved furthur on in my life than this last year. I feel pretty stagnant since last year. Hopefully starting school will help. So I've thinking of posting my resolutions the past week, but have been a little weary stating my weaknesses to the blogging world, as we most know how resolutions turn out. But after reading my friend Abby's resolutions, I decided I should, especially since I haven't posted anything on our holiday adventures. So here it goes...
Go to institute once a week
Take a photography class
Go to singles ward at least once every other month (I'm going to need to get a sub for this one)
Excercise (the classic resolution)
Do more fun activities with my kids
Learn one new recipe a week-and cook it
Have Family Home Evening consistently
Read my scriptures daily
Find more service and missionary opportunities
Be more outgoing to those I don't really know
Move past certain issues
Save money
So that's it boys and girls. Now share yours!

Don't worry, if it makes you feel any better this New Years eve for me consisted of watching a movie and then going to bed at 10:30 since Brian had to work at 6am New Years day. I made a resolution to go to the temple at least once a month and read the BOM start to finish since I usually skip around. Also get good grades and lose more weight- haha of course =) We should get together sometime...I know people always say that but we really should! I feel like my social life is very limited at the moment because I am so busy, but we should make some time! Let me know!
Good list. I like the save money one.
We went to bed at 11:45 New Year's Eve. Sad. I agree that the holiday is always kind of a downer. The month of January is kind of a downer in general. But I like making resolutions.
