Happy Birthday Tucker

Tucker turned 2 on the 6th and celebrated 2 b-days, one in Tucson and one here. The first picture is my sad attempt at his birthday cake (I'm not a professional cake decorator) You will notice the coordinating pirate birthday candles and pirate shirt. I didn't even really let him blow out his candles cause he was sick and I didn't want him to blow his sick germs all over the cake. He thought he blew them out though, so that's ok*** Given that his new obsession is Thomas the Train, Audrey and Rick were nice enough to give him a Thomas outfit (see Grace modeling), though he's warming up to the idea. Refer back to previous posts about Tucker's weird clothes thing. He had a fun time in Tucson with his cousins and instead of eating his cake, he chose to use his candle as a utensil and eat out of the frosting can. It's his birthday, he'll do what he wants I guess.

Here are some Tuckerisms for the year

--He's very snuggly, though usually only with me
--He's very clingy, though usually only with me (refer above)
--He has a quick temper and gets frustrated quickly. Lots of toys and tantrums have been thrown over such things as blocks falling over, not being able to buckle something, or "gadget" not fitting into a "whoosit" properly (insert your own 2 toys here)
--Like his sister, he loves to sing and usually very loud. For example, the other day he was singing "I am a Child of God" in the doctor's office waiting room. As of lately, he can also be found singing most Christmas songs played on 99.9 KEZ.
--He is mostly all boy (cars, trains, trucks, loud, ball, rough, making noises) though he has taken a liking to Grace's high heels and gets very mad if he can't find the matching shoe, he falls in them, or someone takes his favorite purple ones all together. I will worry only if this continues past age 5.
--He refers to suitcases as "skootcakes"
--When referring to bike rides, dinosaurs, tigers, cars, or anything else rough and boy-ish, he says it very intense, loud and with a growl. Just so we know it's something he thinks is tough and only boys do.
--He's my favorite boy in the whole world!

***What they don't know, won't hurt them...most of the time

So handsome he is. And Grace totally looks like you in the sitting down picture.
