Merci to all the congrats sent my way on entering the nursing program. I'm so so happy the wait is over and so so nervous to finally be starting. I'll start in January and be done in 2 years (Dec. 2010 for those who are counting). Gracie will be in 1st grade, and Tucker will be in his second year of preschool (sniff sniff) by the time I'm done (sniff sniff).
Around the Thompson household, we had been anxiously preparing for Halloween, although I should say my mom has. She put the finishing touches on Gracie's "Annie" costume, I'm sure cursing the whole way through. She finished minutes before it was to be worn at preschool, with Gracie worrying at her side whether it was going to be done or not. It got rave reviews and a few requests to be borrowed for next year. Tucker's costume was my favorite because it was so easy, and looked quite comfortable. He didn't mind wearing it either just as long as he got candy. Pictures will be posted as soon as I get them loaded. My camera decided to die before I even got 1 picture at GRacie's halloween party, meaning I had to borrow my parents' camera for pictures, thus the delay in loading. I went as a cavewoman, only because I was going to a Halloween party afterwards and felt it would be "lame" to not dress up. But running to the fabric store at 4:30 to get your costume had me in sweats let me tell you. Wrap it around me and add a rope and call it good, that's what I say. After the kids trick or treat fun and when they were snuggled in bed, I took off to a single's halloween party with my bff. I felt a little odd being there, but made the best of it and danced the night away, (cheesy music and all). I even made 5 bucks off the night so it wasn't all that bad.
The next few months will be pretty fun and crazy. December is looking to be a good time. as we are heading to Disneyland with the kiddos before school starts. A few weeks later, Leslie and I will be headed to Utah to meet our bf Rachel, who is currently residing in NY, but visiting for a wedding in UT. A good time will be had by all I'm sure.
I know this post isn't nearly as fun without the pictures, but I like to leave you on the edge of your seats waiting for them to be posted.

you're funny
On behalf of the Annie costume, I thank you. I should add that I only added collar, cuffs, and raised the waist. It should have been a breeze, but it turned out to be a hassle. I am happy to sew for my little grandchildren, but doing it feels like sewing doll clothes! She looked so adorable, and so did Tucker in his comfy Thomas costume. Yeah, Bon, for moving forward!
I can't wait to see Grace as a little Annie. What a perfect idea. I will have to call you soon to finish off our conversation :) And by the way congrats again on nursing school!!
Bon - I beg you to record Gracie in her costume singing "Tomorrow". It would make my year.
