Bringin' home the bacon

So, the past couple weeks have been a little crazy so I haven't updated about my new "role." I got a job! Before we left for CA, my bro-in-law called me up about a pain clinic he was doing a rotation at. Apparently, they were looking, desperate and flexible. I faxed in my resume right then, and they called me about an hour later. I went in for an interview a few hours later, talked to the doc for about 5 min. and was hired on the spot! I work Mon. and Wed. all day, but they're really flexible, which is great. The office is very small, with just one doc, and two other girls. It's been great experience for me so far since I haven't ever worked with patients before. It's getting me comfortable with the human body, let's say (haha). I'm definently learning a lot and putting my anatomy classes to use as well as my hearing abilities cause the dr. is a mumbler and a fast talker so it drives me crazy. I'm constantly saying "what?" So that's my little piece of news--

This is called traction, I do some of this with patients to help stretch out their neck. This picture makes me laugh though because we definently have a more high tech machine than a string tied to a door handle. Same concept though..I call it the torture device

This is mainly what I do. Therapeutic ultrasound on back, neck, shoulder, wherever. It's a little step in the right direction because originally I wanted and still do want to do baby ultrasounds
