Today I love...

goodwill!!

the kids are in tucson for the next few days because i needed a little break. i started my anatomy 202 class last week and am stressed to the max. i go everyday from 7:30 to 1:00 and i have an exam and practical every week. it's hard to deal with that and kids plus my usual procrastination and laziness. change is hard ;( but alas, i have a few days to myself and i have been obsessed with deal shopping recently. in case no one has noticed but july is the deal month! when all the stores are getting rid of summer things to bring in fall. so, seeing that phoenix has summer until about october, it should be our favorite month, right? it's mine, but my birthday is next week too so that adds some. anywho, today, my bargain shopping was at goodwill. i haven't really every shopped there i don't think. i go to 2nd hand kid stores and i went to DI several months ago, but never goodwill. i think i could spend several hours in there! who knew delta burke made pantyhose? and there were such things as jonah, noah and david and goliath plates and cups? i think it's so funny that they will take ANYTHING. there were bags of toilet paper, half used pencils, and a million broken lost toys. i'm pretty sure if you bagged a pile of crap, they'd take it and sell it. but, onto my great finds. i got a coloring book, a nice matching book, a barbie cash register, an elmo driving thingy, and a pretend kitchen set all for 11 dollars! yeah for me! i think i'm going to wrap up one of those things and give it to grace for her birthday. is that bad? she won't know it's been used and i paid 2 bucks for it. i was very excited. so now i have to CLEAN everything cause heaven knows what they've been through. but they looked in decent condition. oh, i ALSO made a trade at other mothers (2nd hand kids' store) and i got 11 dollars in credit (my lucky number today?) so i "bought" a skirt, a top (both from gap) for grace and a barney singing toy for one dollar. yeah me! i love the deals. i'm addicted.

onto my next topic, i'm going to the fray concert next week with liz. it should be a good time. i'm mostly going for the opening act EISLEY cause i love them, but the fray is good. gomez is also opening, and i hear they're pretty good. i haven't been to a concert in awhile, so i'm excited.

so i went to singles branch last week again. i try and make myself go every now and then, but it really does me know good i think. NO one talks to me. it's annoying. and i'm not doing the poor me, poor me thing cause i understand it's a big ward with new people all the time, i'm just annoyed. anywho, in relief society they do 5 exciting things where people can say fun stuff that's happened to them this week. everybody else were saying things like "my sister had a baby," or "i got a new roommate," or my "brother got married" type things. i whispered to the girl next to me (who i knew) if i should raise my hand and say that my daughter started going tinkle on the potty this week. what do YOU think would've happened. (flashback to highschool saying....."crickets chirping in the background." ) anyway, it would've been a good laugh for my benefit.
